Toni Barcenas Operations Manager
Although Toni is originally from Florida, she has spent a few years living in Texas. Toni completed her LVT program in Texas. She was introduced to the Animalife family in 2015 when she completed her externship at Animalife at Pine Ridge and Animalife at Mission Hills. She moved back to Florida in 2018 and became the operations manager at Animalife at Mission Hills. She left for a short time to work at the Houston SPCA. Toni then realized that she missed the Florida sun and returned to our family in 2019 as the office manager.
You will find Toni outdoors spending time with her family when she is not at Animalife. She mostly enjoys being at the beach, going out on the boat and fishing with her significant other. She shares her home with four dogs; two Pit bulls named Zoey & Millie, a Chocolate Lab named Chloe and a Chiweenie named Onyx.
Karina Garcia Customer Service Representative
Karina is the Rockstar of our front desk. If you have ever had the pleasure of speaking to Karina, you know how great she is and how eager she is to help others.
Karina is currently studying at Florida Southwestern State College to pursue a degree in Biology. When she is not studying or helping our clients, Karina enjoys spending time at the gym, hanging with family, and listening to music.
She currently shares her home with two pets; a German Shepherd named Russ and a kitty named KiKi.
Jazmine Dominguez Customer Service Representative
Jazmine joined our team this past February after holding a customer service position elsewhere for four years. She is a dedicated and motivated member of our team and couldn’t have fit in any better! Her soft-spoken tone and kind demeanor really help our clients feel at ease when bringing in their beloved fur-babies.
Jazmine is currently working on obtaining her Associates Degree from Florida Southwestern State College. Jazmine enjoys going to the beach, park and spending time with family and friends. She shares her home with a Leopard Gecko named buddy, a mixed canine named Mercury and a 3 year old Pomsky named Umbra.
Paige Gedvillas Customer Service Representative
Paige is a native of Florida, but life has carried her to many other places. She joined our team in May 2021 to hopefully fill a void that was left in her heart after losing her dog companions.
Paige enjoys meeting new people, learning their stories and sharing her smile and laughter with others. She has never met a stranger in her life, which makes her a natural at our reception desk.
Prior to working at Animalife, Paige was a floral designer and artist. She enjoyed many hours of creating beautiful bouquets and arrangements for special occasions. Although she loved the artistry she was able to create, her allergies would no longer allow it. Paige decided a new career with animals was exactly what her lonely heart needed. Her favorite thing about working with us is seeing so many animals every day.
Paige enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, eating Indian food, and listening to old punk rock music. She also took up painting again, in order to fulfill her creative side.
Paige has a house cat named Murphy but hopes to be a dog owner again very soon.
Daria Stege Veterinary Nurse
Daria has been a great addition to our team. She is ambitious and desires to one day become a veterinarian. She is the newest member of our team and is currently learning the ins-and-outs of the veterinary industry. Daria has wanted to work in the veterinary field ever since she owned her first bird years ago.
Daria enjoys going to the beach, reading books, and eating pizza. She owns four cockatiels: Blu, Ruby, Leblouh & Nunnally.
Elizabeth Graham Lead Veterinary Nurse
Elizabeth joined our team in late 2016. She is a native of New Jersey, but decided that she would trade the cold snow for the warm beaches. She formerly attended the University of New England, where she studied Animal Behavior and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. While attending college, Elizabeth worked at a marine animal rehabilitation center and interned at a veterinary specialist hospital. After graduating from college, she moved from New England to Kentucky, where she worked as an adoption coordinator for a local shelter. Elizabeth quickly found that Kentucky was not the place for her to stay long-term. In August 2016, she accepted a wildlife intern position with the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. It was there that she found her true passion for wildlife and veterinary medicine. In her free time, Elizabeth likes to visit the beach, relax outdoors, and scuba dive. She also enjoys spending time with her American Eskimo, Sterling.
Kathy Rodriguez Veterinary Nurse
Once Kathy completed her Certified Veterinary Assistant program at Lorenzo Walker she didn’t waste any time jumping right into her career. She didn’t always know she wanted to work in the veterinary industry but her passion for animals lead her to pursue the path of her dreams. What Kathy loves most about this field is the reward of being able to make a difference in our patients' and clients' lives. Kathy has two adorable Chihuahuas named Bebi and Atom, a Jack Russel Terrier named Lola and a Leopard Gecko named Loki. You may catch Kathy thrifting, traveling hanging out with friends and playing with her dogs.
